to the word tall we add -er than when the word has less than three sillabas.

When one word has more than three sillabas, we add more in front of the word and then after the word we add than.

Example:


a word with less than three sillabas=

We separate in 2 parts the clock: from 12 to 6 .

The left part of this is to and the right is past.

The number 3 is a quarter past. The number 6 is half past. The number 9 is a quarter to. The number 12 is o'clock.

It is minutes (past or to) hour

We use past when the minutes are between 1 and 30

We use to when the minutes are between 31 and 59.


When we say past means.

"passen tants minuts de".

When we say to means.

"falten tants minuts per".

EX:-It is 6 o'clock.

-It is a quarter past six.

-It is half past six.

-It is a quarter to six.

-It is twenty-eight past six.
